Conservation mindset

Rooted from a conservation mindset, Grand Valley Icelandics embodies the natural approach of raising sheep on grass in a way that functions as a sustainable system.

Rotational grazing, freshwater access, adequate shade and shelter, and minimal as-needed medical care practices are all facets that keep our flock healthy and happy throughout the seasons.

unaltered purpose

Icelandic sheep historically arrived in Iceland over 1100 years ago. As an unaltered breed since that time, they are known as one of the oldest and purest breeds of sheep, and have been raised for meat, wool, and milk production.

Established in 2020, the flock at Grand Valley Icelandics provides grassfed lamb, purebred breeding stock, artisanal home decor, and wool products throughout the year.
